Everest Judo

Sabrina Filzmoser firmly believes in the ethics and values of sports as a method of upbringing and education, as well as in ‘Judo for Peace’. This belief led her to initiate the international development project ‘Everest Judo’.

The project specifically supports schools, orphanages, and children in need in the Himalayan region, enabling them to attend school, receive sufficient food, medical care, and have future prospects through education and sports training according to the values of judo.

 „Judo can be the answer to the question of “why”—why I do it, why I try, why I live my life with purpose. Peaceful fighting and training through qualified instructors have proven to be a great means against the exclusion of young people.“

In Sabrina’s experience, a good education is the way to bridge the gap between different cultures. Without the right to proper education, the values of freedom, justice, and equality have no meaning. Ignorance is by far the greatest danger and threat to humanity.

For Sabrina, it is always incredible to see how the passion for judo, along with its high values, ethics, and moral concepts, can spread.

In remote areas, there is a lack of training equipment, dojos (training halls), and trainers. In addition to providing the necessary materials, funding for trainers, assistants, and instructors on-site is also needed. Sabrina Filzmoser continues to support and make herself available for this cause.
